Lawn Event Coordinator Internship

Do you consider yourself a car fanatic or are you interested in learning about the inner workings of a Museum? Apply to become a Lawn Event Intern for the Larz Anderson Auto Museum, home to America’s Oldest Car Collection!

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for interns to help us at these shows with set up, break down, working the front gate, and monitoring parking. The Lawn Event Interns will work directly with the Lawn Event and Education Manager to ensure the success of every show during the season. This is an unpaid internship for school credit. We expect this to be a 6-12 hour per week commitment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be able to work in a team setting environment and able to work independently. Able to lift heavy objects. Have strong interpersonal and customer service skills. It is highly recommended that interns have a reliable source of transportation to the Museum. Since the events fall on Saturdays and Sundays. Weekend hours are required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Current undergraduate student Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A background in customer service, history, communications, events or just a love of automobiles. An ability to work with people of all ages. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a group setting as part of a fun and dynamic team.

Photography Internship

Do you consider yourself a car fanatic or are you interested in gaining experience taking pictures of events? Apply to become a Photography Intern for the Larz Anderson Auto Museum, home to America's Oldest Car Collection!

POSITION SUMMARY

The Photography intern will need to take quality photographs of our Lawn Events as well as educational programs, and many other events that take place at the Museum. We request that you take 50-100 photos per event. Photos should be edited and sent to us in a timely manner. This individual must be able to take instruction and work independently. We would like to capture the vehicles at the event as well as the people who attend them!

This is an unpaid internship for school credit. We expect this to be a 6-12 hour per week commitment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be able to work in a team setting environment and able to work independently.
Have strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
It is highly recommended that interns have a reliable source of transportation to the Museum.
Since the events fall on Saturdays and Sundays - Weekend hours are required.
Own a DSLR camera.


QUALIFICATIONS

Current undergraduate student. Preference given to students pursuing a degree or concentration in photography.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
An ability to work with people of all ages.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a group setting as part of a fun and dynamic team.

Social Media Intern

Do you consider yourself a car fanatic or are you interested in gaining experience with social media and marketing? Apply to become a Social Media Intern for the Larz Anderson Auto Museum, home to America's Oldest Car Collection! Current college students who have an in-depth knowledge of Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook in a professional setting are encouraged to apply.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Social Media Intern will need to create quality posts on social media at our Lawn Events, educational programs, and many other events that take place at the Museum. Posts must be creative and approved by the Lawn Event Manager or Education Manager. This individual must be able to take instruction and work independently. We would like to capture the vehicles at the event as well as the people who attend them!

This is an unpaid internship for school credit. We expect this to be a 12 hour per week commitment with one weekend day and one day during the week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be able to work in a team setting environment and able to work independently.
Have strong interpersonal skills.
It is highly recommended that interns have a reliable source of transportation to the Museum.
Since the events fall on Saturdays and Sundays. Weekend hours are required.
Must be able to create substantial, interactive, and eye-catching social media posts, primarily on Instagram and Snapchat.
Must be able to analyze social media content.

QUALIFICATIONS

Current undergraduate student. Major in digital media, marketing, or communications preferred.
Experience in social media/marketing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a group setting as part of a fun and dynamic team.
In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat in a professional setting.
Basic knowledge of Photoshop.
Experience with social media analytics, including Google Analytics

Videographer Internship

Do you consider yourself a car fanatic or are you interested in gaining experience taking videos? Apply to become a Videographer Intern for the Larz Anderson Auto Museum, home to America's Oldest Car Collection! Current college students who have experience in campus television projects, hands on experience operating camera equipment, and experience filming and editing video are encouraged to apply.

The Videographer intern will need to take quality videos of our Lawn Events as well as educational programs, and many other events that take place at the Museum. Videos should be edited and sent to us in a timely manner. This individual must be able to take instruction and work independently. We would like to capture the vehicles at the event as well as the people who attend them!

This is an unpaid internship for school credit. We expect this to be a 6-12 hour per week commitment.

Own necessary equipment.
Conduct interviews.
Create short (1 - 2:30 minute) videos for the Museum's website and social media


QUALIFICATIONS

Current undergraduate student. Major in digital media or broadcast journalism preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
An ability to work with people of all ages.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a group setting as part of a fun and dynamic team.
Proficiency with digital editing software
Experience setting up and conducting interviews in a professional setting (workplace or internship)
